Pottery Pumpkins Workshop

Service Description

Join us for a small group workshop at Collessie Victory Hall for a morning of clay and creativity as we create some handmade pottery pumpkins, with artist and workshop tutor Deborah Cameron During this workshop you will sculpt rich terracotta clay and use cutters, stamps, slips and underglazes to create your sweet pumpkin - perfect for adding fairy lights or small candles and adding to your garden or doorstep this Autumn. You will be supported to create the main shape then guided to use a range of decorating methods to make your unique piece of handmade pottery, samples and visual aids will be prepared for you to help with ideas. What ever you choose to do I'll be there to support you to make something special Your pottery will be safely stored until they are ready for firing and then kiln fired and sealed with an acrylic sealer before being returned to you approx 3 weeks later - in plenty of time for having them ready for Halloween! (please note these are not glazed, they are covered with a sealer suitable for indoors and outdoors) This workshop is suitable for individuals aged 11 above. Participants 11-16 must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for beginners - no experience required - just bring yourself and a readiness to have a great morning getting creative with clay! All materials, light refreshments, tuition and kiln firing of your work included
