Where can the workshop take place?

Our Festive Crafternoons are designed to be held in suitable community or commercial venues, including:

• Community centres

• Village or church halls

• Business premises

• Hotels

• Event or function rooms

• Schools (for staff groups)

• Restaurants or cafés with a private function space (where permitted)

Unfortunately, we do not offer workshops in private homes or gardens. This helps ensure everyone has a comfortable creative space and allows us to meet our public liability insurance requirements.

Do you provide the venue?

No. The organiser is responsible for booking and paying for the venue.

However, if you're unsure where to hold your workshop, I'm always happy to suggest suitable venues across Fife, Dundee, Perth & Kinross.

What does the venue need?

To ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience, your venue should provide:

• Enough tables and seating for your group

• Good lighting

• Indoor heating during the winter months

• Easy access for bringing materials into the venue

• Access to the room at least 45 minutes before the workshop for set-up

How many people can attend?

Festive Crafternoons are designed for adult groups of 12 or more.

Family celebrations are also welcome, with children attending alongside the adults.

These workshops are not suitable for children's parties or groups consisting primarily of children.

Do we need any experience?

Not at all.

Every project is taught step by step, making the workshops perfect for complete beginners as well as those who already enjoy crafting.

What's included?

Your booking includes:

• All materials and equipment

• Expertly planned and tailored event and private group tuition from Deborah Cameron

• A choice of festive projects (where applicable)

• Group picture

• A beautiful handmade item for each guest to take home

How long does the workshop last?

Most Festive Crafternoons last around 2 hours, depending on the project selected.

How does the Giving Back Initiative work?

Every group booking contributes 10% of the booking value through our Giving Back Initiative.

Your group can choose to:

• Receive the 10% back to support your own club or organisation.

• Donate it to a local community cause.

• Gift it to our Pay It Forward Initiative, helping someone who may otherwise be unable to attend a creative workshop.

How do I secure my booking?

A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your chosen date.

The remaining balance is due 28 days before your workshop.

Bookings are confirmed once the deposit has been received.

Can we bring refreshments?

Absolutely.

Many groups enjoy making an afternoon of it by arranging festive refreshments, afternoon tea or drinks before or after the workshop. Please check directly with your chosen venue regarding their catering policies.

What happens if someone in our group can no longer attend?
As each workshop is prepared specifically for your group, cancellations or non-attendance cannot normally be refunded once final payment has been made. However, another person is welcome to attend in their place if you let us know in advance.

Can we choose which festive project we make?
Yes. You'll be able to choose from the festive projects available for your chosen date. I'll help you select something that's perfect for your group.

Do you need access before the workshop starts?
Yes please. I require access to the venue at least 45 minutes before the advertised start time to unload, set up materials and prepare everyone's workspace.

Do you clear everything away afterwards?
Yes. I bring all workshop materials, clear everything away afterwards and leave the venue tidy. I simply ask that tables and chairs remain available until packing is complete.

Is parking required?
Where possible, nearby parking or unloading access is appreciated as I transport a large quantity of equipment and materials.

​Can we make an evening of it?
Absolutely! The workshops usually run from 2pm - 4pm - many groups choose to enjoy lunch, afternoon tea or festive drinks before or after their workshop, making it a lovely seasonal social event.
